We’re huge Yigal Azrouel fans, but his Spring 2010 collection for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week left us in the mood of most of the colors he used—dull and gray. From cut-out shapes to monotonous colors, he didn’t give us anything we haven’t seen before. It was boring to watch, and although he usually delivers classy, quality clothes, we can’t ignore how lame they were for this season.  He could have done a better job.

The Catherine Malandrino Spring/Summer 2009 show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was absolutely 60’s elegance at its best.  Malandrino kept it soft, serene and graceful.  These dresses are definitely for the modern women, of any age group who desires to look fine and sophisticated. We also love the Statue of Liberty print on the fabrics and the fact that every pale color in the line had a touch of pearl in it. The “Rose Hair” gets an A++, Excellent job Malandrino!

Fashion Designer, Kilian Kerner’s Mercedes Benz Fashion week Spring/Summer 2009 ready-to-wear fashion show in Germany. As you can see, the only two designs that caught our eye are the ones above. We wished he kept going this route, but he did not. The line consisted of grayish blues, and soft beautiful flowy fabrics we loved. But for the most part the dull colors, boring styles, and nothing out of the ordinary designs disappointed us greatly. Lots of work needs to be done. More creativity should have been involved. Kerner pictured below with two models by his side
