BAKERS SHOES KILL YOUR FEET

I’m a huge fan of classy, gorgeous shoes.   Of course, when I’m looking for a deal I go to any store that has beautiful heels under $100.  Bakers shoes does just that, not as expensive as other brands, but there’s  still a heavy price to pay- their shoes KILL your feet! Read more »

JEFFREE STAR IS A RACIST

starjeffree.jpg

Jeffree Star is a myspace celebrity like Tila Tequila. Star is a boy, who dresses like a girl, yet he is NOT considered a Drag Queen or a Transsexual. He is known for his eccentric look where he sports short shorts and tight fitted shirts silhouetting his skeletal shape and flat chest. He wears an untamed pink weave and has extravagant arched eyebrows he proudly exhibits. But all the roar of the suppose Star has nothing to do neither with his flamboyant look nor the explicit lyrics he writes and sings that he calls “music.” The commotion is for his latest rant played on (YouTube) where he attacks someone who created a fake profile using his name and he labels the person by shouting all sorts of racial slurs (as he is being cheered on by his friends). Fashion is an industry where people are open-minded enough to accept what you look like on the outside, a place where we love your interior even more because that is where the creativity comes from, but bigotry? Bigotry is something we do NOT accept. Star is also selling clothing band merchandise that we urge all FashAddiX to NEVER wear. We did not tolerate anti-gay remarks from Isaiah Washington and the racist remarks from Dog the Bounty Hunter. Star isn’t an exception, his 15 minutes are right about up. He does not represent the true Drag Queens or Transsexuals, if anything, he is an insult to them.

TOMMY HILFIGER

tommy.jpg

Tommy Hilfiger is not a racist. You probably read the email circling for a decade now on how he designed clothes for all of the white people in the world and not for minorities. NOT TRUE. The poor rich guy was on Oprah. It was his first appearance ever since the email went out and about. Hilfiger said his company’s sales did suffer, but not as much as he did when people questioned his integrity. The verdict? If designers love colors, why hate the ones on people. Hilfiger is a great guy! He isn’t Tommy Hillbilly! Do not allow rumors to stop you from buying his items.  Now, as for his collection: Every year it is a little more of the same colors and dull designs.  So before I badmouth him I decided to take a glimpse of his Fall/Winter2007 line and let me tell you it has improved a bit.  Hilfiger has been in the business since 1969. He is no beginner in the industry, so it is good to see he is trying to keep up with the times.  However, I feel his strength is in Men’s Wear, which he does a great job in. The women’s line needs help. While some of the dresses of his collection did impress me somewhat, it was not enough. The clothes need to be more fitted and vivacious. Understandably, he caters to a specific audience, but when I think TH I see RED, YELLOW, WHITE, BLUE, lively colors that should be at an equal with a lively line and I’m not quite seeing it.
