Roberto Cavalli has the world of fashion at his feet. His creations are true works of art. His love for living life to the fullest should be a role model for many. And did you know that this entrepreneur and uber talented designer is also a pilot? He says he was licensed in 1980 in Paris. Not only that, he loves sailing and on his blog, he states:
You know that I am a helicopter stunt pilot… you know my passion for the sea which was one of my first passions. My mistake was perhaps to get acquainted with the sea in a small motorboat and grow with a passion for speed. I love to go fast, at sea on land and in the air! Had I started with a small sailboat, I would have definitely sailed around the world “solo”! I have often told you that I do not feel fear… I fear absolutely nothing. If anything, “I am afraid of not feeling afraid!” (http://www.robertocavalliblog.com/)
For sure he is one daring DIVA who’s fearless and that emanates through his designs. How can one not love him?! We give him an “F” for being Fabulous!
We absolutely LOVESherri Hill designs! What is not to love about what she creates for women: glamour and glitz?! Women have been loving shiny things since we were little girls. Do you think we would like diamonds if they were matte? Of course not! A Sherri Hill dress is not cheap, but the good thing is you do not have to be a millionaire to buy one. The fit is great, the look is superb, and you will feel so feminine wearing a SH dress that you must at least possess one. Although they are too flashy (mostly celebrities, models, and beauty contestants for pageants wear her creations) they are still fun for a prom, gala/ball, or just any fun event you’d like to make an entrance in. Most certainly Sherri Hill gowns are not for the timid, but once in a while you have to stand out.

Tokidokibased in Los Angeles, CA, was founded in 2003 by designer Simone Legno and his partners Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold. Tokidoki is a brand composed of apparel, footwear, handbags, cosmetics, toys, and accessories with the cutest cartoon characters ever. Sold at major department stores and liked by the most reputable designers in the industry who have collaborated with the brand/Italian born Simone Legno, creative director and co-founder of these masterful masterpieces. There’s no denying Tokidoki consists of contemporary, innovative, unique and one of a kind creations. Legno named the company “TOKIDOKI” which means in Japanese “sometimes” because he feels “everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny, by chance or by meeting a new person”. Interesting concept. From NY to Milan you can purchase Tokidoki goods at a retailer near you and even via their site.
BlumarineMilan Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2011 collection gets an “A” perhaps because it was SO Roberto Cavalli-ish. Well, we don’t care where they get their inspiration from as long as they get it right, and right they did get it. Well done.
Just Cavalli Womenswear S/S 2011 show during Milan Fashion Week gets a “D”. We get it, this is the affordable collection of the Roberto Cavalli label, but how much cheaper did they want it to look? Cavalli is known for using the most wonderful and exotic animal prints/motifs on his fabrics, but this upcoming line made us frown upon it…big time. Overly-sized clothes do nothing for a woman’s figure. Was he going for a pajamas/Woodstock look? All in all it was quite disastrous, and rather unflattering to say the least.
Moschino Cheap & Chic Fashion Week Womenswear S/S 2011 during Milan Fashion week was absolutely fun and flirty. We loved the colors. Some pieces we adored while the other designs made us wonder who were their muse…BOZO the clown? Overall, it is an okay collection.
