NEW YORK’s INFESTED WITH HERPES

The city that never sleeps has a Herpes epidemic. Now you know why it never sleeps! This isn’t fresh news, but current in many New York City American lives. Recent studies found that one in every four adults of NYC residents have Genital Herpes. CBS reports:
“26 percent of city residents have the virus that causes genital herpes, an incurable sexually-transmitted infection that can cause painful genital sores and can double a person’s risk for HIV. Rates of Gonorrhea, Chlamydia and Syphilis were also higher than the national average. Nationally, 19 percent of the population has the infection, according to the [Health] department. More specifically, the study showed that the rate is higher among women than men – 36 percent compared to 19 percent – and was higher among blacks than whites – 49 percent versus 14 percent, respectively. It also found the rate was higher among gay men than heterosexual men – 32 percent compared to 18 percent.”
What does this mean? It means we’re going out-of-state to have SEX! And when we say out-of-state, Vegas is totally out of the question, we kid, we kid. We know this isn’t a laughing matter. This means that adults must do things responsibly. When having consensual intercourse one must be extremely careful and responsible for one’s own body and health. Although a condom isn’t 100% secure, it still should be used despite whether you are a “Rubber Lover” or not. You cannot trust anyone, but yourself! Play it safe. It can save your life. The disease is not curable, but it is treatable. Don’t forget to get your yearly checkups! People do your research… the percentages are actually about the same wherever you live. If you weren’t sleeping around so much and not being careful – it wouldn’t be an issue!
