NEW YORK, NEW YORK
A city so nice it was named twice. I LOVE NY. It is my haven. I’ve been to other parts of the world, but none are like New York City, imitated never duplicated. What I like about it? I love the fast-paced people, the rude cabdrivers, the smell of roasted peanuts, shish-ka-bobs and hotdogs. The people there do not give a damn if you have pink or green hair; no one is really quick to judge (only ME). They are all incredibly fashionable and creative from editors to architects. I LOVE the straight men. I LOVE the GAY men. Sex and the city. Food and the city. Fashion is the city. NYC is also stylishly segregated. There is Downtown, Midtown and Uptown: Downtowners are laidback. They dress comfy, but casual. Perhaps too casual. Uptowners are rich, classy, and sophisticated. The men dress like golf players and the women as if they just came off an upscale runway. They are too proper. And then, there is me…a Midtown girl. Midtowners meet everyone halfway. We are fashionably loud with a touch of class and comfortable in what we wear. I was raised in New Jersey (mistakenly I landed in the wrong zip code). My heart is in NY. I am a JerseYorker. And that is the cool thing about the city, no matter where you are from if you are creative and love to have fun-then YOU too are a New Yorker. But which New Yorker are you…a Downtown, Midtown or Uptown girl?
